Over the last week I have started to look not at the 3-D street artwork. Images that give the viewer a sense of a three-dimensional world by using different angles and vantage points throw out the image. The artist uses these angles and vantage points to trick the see in seeing a two dimensional image. That is created on a road or a street and turning it into a three-dimensional images.

This image uses the center vantage point to create a sense of depth for the viewer of the this piece. The cliffs seem to move down the and disappear into the the darkness. Along with the angles and the vantage points the artist uses color to give the spectators the feeling of complexity that helps in projecting a three-dimensional idea to the audience. The artist is trying to create a participation for the spectator. Gets them a feeling of standing on the edge of a cliff, or a feeling that they could just fall into the crack in the road.

This image the artist uses the street as apart of the artwork. He leave parts of the road untouched as a part of his conception. This artist is giving the audience a 360 degree view of the artwork. In doing this the artist crated an image were the viewer can intricate with the artwork.

With this image the artist is using two different plains to help create her three-dimensional conception. Using the angles the artist creates three-dimensional plain. Giving the viewer two ways to see the image.

  1. Cool stuff. I've seen this kind of optical illusion sidewalk chalk art online before...would be great to see it in person.
