Photo Challenge Day 7

This challenge is designed to boost my creativity. The goal of the challenge is to take a photograph very day for the next 30 days.  Part of this challenge is to post the photograph of that day.

Nothing fancy about this image, it is more about the angle and the type of lens I used. By creating this image with 50 mm lens I wanted practice in low lighting and what better way then on my cat.  They have always said that taking images of kids and pets are the hardest images to capture. I do believe that, it took me an hour to get this image.  The camera shy kitty just did not want to sit down for his picture to be taking. It was still fun trying to take this image.

Photo Challenge Day 6

This challenge is designed to boost my creativity. The goal of the challenge is to take a photograph very day for the next 30 days.  Part of this challenge is to post the photograph of that day.

This Image was taken with my Holga camera and then developed in coffee, I then scanned the film into my computer. The uses of the soft focus along with the simple lens on the Hogla help creates an image that is old fashion in style.  That is what I was trying to accomplish.

With this particular image I was trying make all about the focus. I feel this image would not be as powerful it did not have this type of selected focus. What make this a powerful image is how keeps your eye in to the center of the photograph.  That is what I was trying to accomplish.

Photo Challenge Day 4

This challenge is designed to boost my creativity. The goal of the challenge is to take a photograph very day for the next 30 days.  Part of this challenge is to post the photograph of that day.


What I love about this particular image is it give reminds me of my Reconstruction of a Third Dimension Project. This was a building that was be remodeled and that what I fell in love with.  I began to look at the sharp angle of the stair and began to think about how it would look like as a 3-D print. The thought began to shift to the ideas of where do the stairs go too.  Is there anything up there or does it go nowhere.  That is what I like about this image.

When it comes to this particular image I used a  Holga camera to create this effect.  It was interplay of colors and texture. That drew me the process of using a Holga.

Standing Alone

This challenge is designed to boost my creativity. The goal of the challenge is to take a photograph very day for the next 30 days.  Part of this challenge is to post the photograph of that day.

This particular image I was trying to focus on the  depth of field. By using a 50 mm lens I was trying to create a contrast between the foreground and the background. By using a selective focus on the lamp I wanted to bring the lamp forward by boring the background and creating a sharpness on the object.  By doing this type of focus it pulls the lamp into foreground, and creating an image where the lamp it the selective focus for the view.

Photo Challenge

The calm

Lately I've been feeling very unmotivated in taking photographs. So I have decided to challenge myself. This challenge is designed to boost my creativity. The goal of the challenge is to take a photograph very day for the next 30 days.  Part of this challenge is to post the photograph of that day.

With is image I was trying to create a dynamic angle to the photograph. By moving the camera at a 45 degree I feel this creates visual line the flows through the images. This visual line helps to create a of wonder for the viewer.  Apart of this visual aspect of this image is the darkness of the thunderstorm that is rolling into town.  The storm creates a mood to the image give the view a sense of apprehension. That is what I love about this image.
